Driving directions to the Village of the Shining Stones
From Albuquerque Airport, take Interstate Hwy 25 North for approximately 40 miles towards Santa Fe. Then take the Relief Route 599 north to Española. You will then be on US 84 North.
Stay on US 84 North until you get to Española (about 24 miles). Upon entering Española, there is a traffic light signal. Turn to the left to continue on US 84 towards Chama. Take US 84 north to Abiquiú (15 miles north of Española.)
The Abiquiú Inn is on your right. A convenience store called Bode’s and a gas station are a bit further up the road.
Continue on US 84 past Abiquiú approximately 6 miles. Turn left onto US 96; go across the top of the dam, heading towards Youngsville and Coyote. After you pass the dam (7 miles), you’ll see a small sign on the right that says 0199 County Road. (Look for a small blue sign on the right side of the road.)
Turn right on 0199 (at that sign) onto a gravel road. Drive one mile to a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction and follow the fence line all the way to the gate. (Do not veer off to the right before the gate.) Open the gate and drive through and then CLOSE THE GATE behind you. Follow the gravel road as it takes you up the hill to the entrance of the Village of the Shining Stones. Reception will be just inside the gate. Welcome.
Note: On US 96 before you turn off the paved road, if you get to the towns of Coyote or Youngsville, you’ve gone too far.
